Practice management can seem like Greek to many chiropractors. Which secret makes some successful, while other DCs are struggling? Chiropractic Products spoke with Larry Markson, DC; Bob Hoffman, DC; and Dennis Perman, DC; of The Masters Circle Inc, located in Lake Success, NY, about their special brand and vision of more than management consulting.

What is Identity-Based Coaching?
The Masters Circle Identity-Based Consulting“approach was developed to exceed the traditional strategy-based techniques and guide doctors to focus on the fact that who they are determines how well what they do works. Along with 12 other consultants, Markson, Hoffman, and Perman empower their members to take ownership of themselves so that they frequently manifest into their lives exactly what they want. Through seminars, teleclasses, mastermind groups, private consultations, and audiovisual tutorials, chiropractors are transformed into confident, congruent, philosophically sound, and clinically competent doctors who realize that it is the “identity” link that helps them succeed at a higher level.
“We recognize that our beloved profession suffers from an identity crisis, and we are extraordinarily proud of our contribution to the future of successful chiropractors. We have introduced and excelled at the Identity-Based Model as a hallmark of our company,” says Markson.

What is an important aspect of practice management?
The Masters Circle also realize that staff is influential in the success of chiropractors. They devote time to special staff sessions and mastermind groups and created an influential six CD CA alburn entitled “Attitudes and Actions for the Evolving Chiropractic Assistant.” This is just one of the tools they created to help chiropractors create their all-star team.

What is the history of The Masters Circle?
The Masters Circle was developed by as a leadership coaching, practice building and personal development program for doctors of chiropractic who are serious about achieving success. Perman declares, “We are raising the standards and the consciousness of the chiropractic profession.” As The Masters Circle grows and expands, they are looking to elevate self-esteem and expand the self-image of chiropractors to assist them in creating the ideal practice and lifestyle of their dreams.
The Masters Circle does not consider itself a practice management company. In fact this term offends them as they see a much bigger vision for what they do. They are life coaches-teaching success principles and personal power. They treat their members as family and as such are involved in opening of offices; hiring staff; dealing with sickness, death, and debt; attracting new patients; welcoming marriages and births; and producing the miracle results which chiropractic is famous for.

Tell Us About The Masters Circle commitment to the profession.
The Masters Circle has been working towards unity in the profession for more than 3 years. We raised $150,000 toward the National Chiropractic Legal Action Fund at their recent SuperConference. The Masters Circle recently developed a College Connection Program in which $50.000 in scholarships to students and $13,000 in products to various chiropractic college libraries were donated. In 2003, The Masters Circle had the first “Women In Chiropractic” seminar specifically designed for women in the profession.

What do you see for the future of chiropractic?
The future of chiropractic is extremely bright. Hoffman exclaims, “There has never been a better time to be a chiropractor.”
