Welcome to this week’s Thrive in Five. I’m Dr. Bob Hoffman for The Masters Circle Global where legends are made and legendary practices are built through chiropractic coaching. Today I want to discuss building the a hundred thousand plus practice each month and sharing your success with your staff. Many of our coaching clients collect a hundred thousand or more each month, and you can as well. But first, let’s realize how important it is and always will be to keep every member of your team motivated, happy, engaged, and super productive. It’s important to not make the common mistake of thinking I’ve trained them and now I’m done training. Even the best staff, the smartest staff, the most committed staff need frequent and ongoing reminding of the systems and standards that you want them to use to run your practice. Human nature makes it most people eventually default to doing what’s comfortable for them instead of doing what you want and what you expect.

They don’t do this because they’re bad or because they’re trying to hurt you or the practice. They do this because people default to what is the easiest and most comfortable way for them. The question you should consider is this, why would a member of my team wanna work any harder to help me continue to grow my practice and my income? And the answer, quite frankly is simple. You have to enroll them in your vision, in your mission, and in your purpose. They need to see themselves as an integral part of your dream. They have to be crystal clear how more people getting your care makes the world a better place and allows more people to live a better life. They have to feel the same emotions. You feel the same joy you feel from helping patients heal from above down and from inside out. They need to realize that they play a significant part in creating the miracles that occur in your clinic on a regular basis.

And this is why ongoing staff training never ends. This is why weekly staff meetings never end. This is why rewarding the behaviors you want from them never ends. This is why you should share specific case studies of your patient’s. Healing with your staff should never end. This is why educating, engaging them never ends. And this is why taking them to seminars and having them participate in webinars never ends. Since our thoughts create our reality, continue to share and refine and define the dream so that they have clarity and confidence in that dream and are willing to do whatever it takes to help you accomplish that dream. Lead by your example. Without a vision, the people perish. So share your vision and stay focused on the present, but keep reminding them about the future and where you’re going and why. Remember this rule If you give them a strong enough why they will comply.

And since repetition is the language of the brain in healing and in learning, repeat your why over and over again. Make it real, make it emotional, and make it personal. When any or all of your team does a good thing buys into your dream. Enjoys learning more about your why, your standards, your commitment to service. Reward those behaviors. Catch them doing something right and reward that behavior. Find ways to lift them up in stronger noble thought and make them the stars of the show and celebrate all of their accomplishments and all of the victories as a team to give them reasons to want to continue to grow and make more progress. When you’re consistently collecting a 100K or more a month, how does that make them feel? And how does it further lift up their confidence? Remind them of this at every turn. Remember that abundance and a profitability and expansion are always byproducts of service to others and service well rendered.

I strongly recommend that you spend a few minutes every day doing a team affirmation, visualizing your upcoming day, playing out in the best way possible in advance, setting specific goals to accomplish and thanking each of them for being part of your family, part of your life, and part of your success. Again, make it emotional and help them own it as if it has already happened. Give them a voice, ask for their opinions and suggestions, and thank them for showing up big at each and every day. This is just some of the inner work needed to experience the rewards of your dream practice and sharing your success with your team.
