Welcome to this Week’s Thrive in Five. I’m Dr. Bob Hoffman for The Masters Circle Global, where legends are made in legendary practices are built through chiropractic coaching. Today I want to ask regarding the six essentials. What are you teaching your staff? One of the simple but significant things I’ve been teaching for 30 plus years is this. There are three things you must do every single day in practice. First, educate your patients. Second, adjust your patients. Third, train your staff. You must get this staff training never ends. Even the best staff, the most intelligent staff, the longest tenured staff, they all default to doing things their way, not your way, because it’s human nature to default to what’s comfortable. Some weekly training should be planned and organized and some spontaneous. Either way, it’s essential that all staff do the things the way you want them done all the time.

So here’s a secret. How you treat your staff is how your staff treats your patients. So be kind, supportive, nurturing, and persistent as you explain how to do things and more important why you do them that way. So let me ask you a question. If the six essentials are the most important practice growth strategy to join the Million Dollar Plus Club, have you trained your staff on it or even told your staff about each of the six essentials and why each of them are so essential today? If you have a growth mindset and if you’re serious that you want to do better, increase your impact and increase your income, you need a quality team consistently trained and up to date with all working for the same exact goals as you are. As an example, we often find that your staff is usually more aware of your practice points of friction than you are and are more effective at correcting, neutralizing, or eliminating these points of friction than you are.
Did you ever think why the most successful practices continue to adapt to the changing times and continue to train your team over and over again and continue to drill down and train on these six essentials? 

Remember to have what only 5% of what the best in class in our profession has. You must be willing to do what 95% of what the profession is unwilling to do. Quite frankly, the six essentials should be part of your daily and weekly training and meetings, and it would be smart, very smart to have each staff member complete the discovery form themselves to help you and help them find the contradictions in your practice that are holding you back. You do not have to throw your current practice out. You just have to update to make today’s fast changing best in class model fit into your office better. The fundamentals have changed. The focus has changed, the business model has changed, and the ability to influence how you and your staff at Think and Act has changed. You need to know what these changes are and how to implement them properly. I assure you, the reward will easily generate a dramatic shift in your practice.
