Chiropractic Practice: The Lifetime Patient Formula

Welcome to this week’s Thrive in Five. I’m Dr. Bob Hoffman for The Masters Circle Global where legends are made. And legendary practices are built through chiropractic coaching today. I want to discuss the lifetime patient formula. Did you know that a formula already exists to create lifetime patients, a formula that has been tested and retested and works extraordinarily well.

Do you want to learn this formula that only a select few in our profession, know, understand, and utilize with great success every day in practice. In Stephen Covey’s groundbreaking book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, habit number two is this, always begin with the end in mind. That means basically you should have a target, a goal, an objective, an intention before doing anything important.

Let me suggest that that goal, that target, objective, and intention should always be with every new patient to educate them, engage them, to monitor and manage them, to earn their trust, to a degree that they want to choose lifetime care in your office. People are sicker today than ever before, with more layers of damage and dysfunction than ever before, more damaging neurological issues than ever before, and suffering from more physical, chemical, and emotional stress than ever before, and they all need ongoing care to neutralize their ongoing stress, and to fully and completely heal from above down.

And from inside out, this is not only good doctoring, but a powerful way to recession proof and future proof, future proof your practice. This is a significant shift from treating problems to treating people, a shift from crisis care to health and wellness care that every person deserves. This is a shift in your thinking.

So your patients can get what they want and what they deserve to be fully alive and in peak health. So what’s the proven formula to follow? Well, listen carefully, because this is beyond important and will change your thinking and change how you run your practice now and in the future. It’s this. It’s functional chiropractic care plus functional lifestyle intervention plus functional technology or modalities.

So let me explain. Functional chiropractic is more neurological or brain based chiropractic that we’ve been teaching our clients for 15 years with outstanding success. The subluxation, as you know, is really about a bone out of place causing a neurological disturbance. Our profession, for over 125 years, has been mostly focused on the bone out of place.

But now, we’re finally realizing that we must shift our focus. to the neurological disturbance. And those colleagues who have are producing better, faster and more complete healings and more miracles than ever before. Functional lifestyle intervention is teaching and engaging each patient with specific exercise, posture improvements, nutrition, supplementation, restorative sleep.

stress management, and even brain and cognitive health. The vast majority of our colleagues do not do a good job with this at all. And in my opinion, this is a big mistake and an error of omission. And you must be willing to let go of the past to embrace the present. And to prepare for the future, this formula takes the patient way past less or no pain to ongoing care to achieve optimal neurological expression so they can live their best life and age gracefully instead of growing old.

This formula helps your patients be their best self prevents future health issues and best serves them. It also creates lifetime patience, which should be all of our overarching goals. How awesome would your practice be if your patients wanted to be in your office, looking forward to your care, and totally trusted and realized that continuing with your care way past pain was one of the best and smartest decisions they could ever make?

Pain is not the problem. It just indicates that you have a problem and Eliminating pain doesn’t make you healthy. It just gives you the false impression that you may be healthy and how amazing would your practice be if you were able to charge and collect a significantly higher fee for your services and Patients were glad to pay you that because you created such enormous value And how would you feel if these same lifetime patients referred their friends, family, co workers, and neighbors to you because of the remarkable and predictable results that they received in your clinic?

Remember, to have what only 5 percent of what the best in class in our profession has, you must be willing to do what the other 95 percent of our profession has been unwilling to do at this time. Quite frankly, this is all part of the six essentials, and the six essentials should always be part of your daily and weekly training.
