Welcome to this week’s Thrive in Five. I’m Dr. Bob Hoffman for The Masters Circle Global where legends are made and legendary practices are built through chiropractic coaching. Today, I want to discuss the six essentials and getting your share of the trillions that baby boomers will spend on healthcare. Those in the know realize that one size fits all is a failed strategy. The best communicators adapt their language to increase the chance of connecting and influencing the other person based on which personality that other person is. You would speak very differently to an amiable than you would to an analytical, than you would to an expressive, and certainly different than communicating with a driver. One size doesn’t fit all with how you adjust a newborn as compared to an athlete or a pregnant woman or a senior citizen. The one size doesn’t fit all in the frequency and the intensity of your care plan recommendations.

This same one, size doesn’t fit all, also applies to baby boomers, compared to Gen Xers or even millennials. Are you dialed in, for example, what baby boomers want and need from their healthcare provider? Do you know what drives them? And do you know that boomers hold half of the nation’s $140 trillion in wealth? For the most part, boomers are healthy and they don’t feel old. They want health and they want longevity, and they have the finances to purchase what they want. Boomers are a very big market, and they are the most affluent generation ever. They’re also tech savvy, and they want to enjoy their independence for as long as possible. Baby boomers will have different healthcare needs and are far more open-minded about natural wellness solutions. As you could see, this is a perfect market for you to connect to, to grow your practice like never before.

But do you know how to connect with them and do you know how to market to attract them? How do you monitor or manage their care, and do you utilize technology to document their bi biological versus chronological age? See, this is especially important for boomers as they don’t want to grow old. They want to age gracefully. Because boomers are tech savvy, you would connect with them best by using technology to clinically analyze their problem or to show them their progress or technology like light sound of vibration to impact or balance their brain and their nervous system. I hope you’ll offer them a full care plan customized to their individual needs, showing them what to expect and what to charge so that their care and their cost is not a concern for them. Their only concern is the results. Remember that if the doctor doesn’t know how to make the connection, the disengaged patient won’t allow you to make the correction.

It’s hard to grow and it’s hard to succeed by doing the same things without ever adapting, refining, or improving patients look to you and your team as role models of excellence, who lead by your example. They look to see how you live your life and how you’re aging gracefully instead of just growing old yourself. Remember to have what only 5% have. You have to be willing to do it. 95% are unwilling to do, and quite frankly, the six essentials should always be part of your daily and weekly training.
